Arcade games?
I am trying to remember this arcade from the eighties, two of them actually. The first was a really cool game where a samari jumped from tree to tree, he had to save his woman or something. One of the enemies was wearing the disk straw hat, kind of like raiden from Mortal. He spit fire and always killed me. The second game was a jungle man that had to swing from rope to rope. he had a knife and had to kill crocs. Also, underwater he had to hold his breath, it was on a timmer. If you have any idea what these two games are, please let me know. Another cool game was called kicker. I like to get an emulator of these games if at all possible. Thanks a lot. J.T. from Y town ohio

The first game was "The Legend of Kage" by Taito. You can check out some screenshots of the game at the link I've given you. One of them has your fire-breathing monk in it. The first person who answered you was right about the second game. It is Jungle Hunt. Or you might have played it as Jungle King. It was originally Jungle King, and your character was a Tarzan-like dude, but they changed your character to an explorer and renamed it Jungle Hunt after the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate threatened to sue them for copyright infringement. The gameplay was identical for both versions, though. All three games are emulated by MAME; you can get the program at www.mame.net (though I personally recommend the MAME32 version if you're running Windows - it gives you a nice GUI to run the program with instead of having to launch it from the "run" box - MAME32 is available from http://mame32qa.classicgaming.gamespy.com/). You have to install MAME, and then find the roms for each game you want and download them to the "Roms" subdirectory of your MAME folder (create it if you don't have it). It'll read the zip file straight from the directory; you don't have to unzip it. I don't know where to find roms anymore though; all the distribution sites I used to frequent closed down a long time ago. You'll have to do a google search for those, but I'm sure they're around. Or, if you'd like to obtain those games legally, they are part of the "Taito Legends" (Jungle Hunt) and "Taito Legends 2" (Kage) collections that have been released for PC, XBox, and PS2. You'd get both of those games and about 65 others too by buying both sets. Hope that helps!

Which arcade games give you the most tickets?
I am trying to win an Xbox from a nearby arcade, but I only have two hours to do it, and I do not know which arcade games give out the most tickets. I have over $500 in credits. Which arcade games give out the most tickets? (Note: in arcades like Dave and Busters or Chuck E Cheese.) Plus, do you have any tips that will help me win these games? Thank you.

Its usually cheaper to buy one rather than trying to win it. But if you really must play to win, then try skid ball or basket ball games. Also consider games like whack a mole or similar game. Good luck!

Why do arcade games never match up to the graphics of computer games?
Though arcade games can look very impressive, they usually never have the level of graphics of computer games.

Because... The average computer has a better graphics processor and more memory than the arcade game...oh, and a much better processor too. Good Luck!

What is the best way to play arcade games like metal slug?
ok I like games like metal slug, street fighter and neo geo arcade games. I've used mame for some, but is there a better gaming experience, I know the wii has metal s as a game, is it the exact as the arcade version? Does wii also have other arcade games like neo geo? How about the playstation console

MAME is really the most advanced Arcade emulators that uses the original games rom chip. This means that it is just like the game you would play in an arcade. Even the midway classics offered on game consoles are not the same as the arcade they have been altered some what. You can get MAME for the WII and Xbox so you could play like the arcade versions but the ones offered like in the wii store, no. For the computer you could find the NEOGEO emulator just to play the NeoGeo games. NeoGeo was a arcade game maker then came out with a home console that used the cartridges that the actual arcade game used, so it was 100% accurate.
