What late 80s arcade games are these?
1. A multiplayer game and that in involved you playing gang members (punks, etc.) that carried chains, steel pipes, and so on. It was so cool.
2. It was Lord of the Rings-ish. You had 4 players to choose from and carried axes.
Any help would be appreciated! :)
(1) is not Double Dragon. It's a gang game that takes place on the subway and in the streets with 4 or 5 characters.
I'm thinking that the first one could be "the Combatribes". http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7374 Second one more than likely is either Gauntlet or Golden Axe.

Early-Late 80s Arcade Games?
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have forever been looking for a few games I used to play as a child. This was pre NES (which was released in 86 I believe). I was born in 81 and I couldn't have been more than 5 so I appologize for the vagueness of my descriptions of them (lol) but any help on any of the three would be greatly appreciated!
The first game had you travelling in outer space from planet to planet. From what I remember it was a platformer type game, so each planet was one of the game's "levels". The planets were linked by paths from which you could diverge, as to take a different path, then once on the planet you travelled on foot and..gosh that's about all I remember from that game lol.
The second game I remember even less about. I remember pretty vividly the end boss of the first level though, he was submerged in water and appeared in front of you after you had flown (I believe you were in some sort of ship) up a waterfall. hmph
The last game you flew either a plane or a helicopter (I am leaning towards helicopter) and bombed the s*** out of this train at the end of the first level? I think. There can't be many helicopter games from the 80s anyway.
Again, I appologize for the lack of information, but I'm sure some 80s arcade hardcore out there knows at least on of these games!
Hi dude! I was there during the 80's gaming golden age. I played almost every ARCADE and home system out there back then. The problem with your descriptions is that you dont even mention where you played them! was it a coin operated arcade? was it an atari 2600? Nintendo's awesome NES was released in 1985 btw. before this there was the Colecovision, Atari 2600 and 5200, Intellivision and PC's that were all devoted to making the best games. sorry I couldnt help you out more but your descriptions really are too vague. mention if they were horizontal or vertical shooters. vertical shooters are like capcom's 1942 arcade game and horizontal shooters are like Gradius and Life Force. Let me know if you find out what these games are! Now you got me all curious too! lol.
Where do I find free downloads on vintage arcade games?

This is a good site. \http://www.classicgamesarcade.com/
Is it physically possible to fix up arcade games made in the late '80s, and 90s?
If so, are they just very difficult to maintain, especially in the matter of finding someone capable of fixing these old games?
